Privacy Policy
What we collect
For a free calculation: nothing identifying, beyond an approximate country derived from your IP for analytics. If you request a certificate, we collect your email. If you upgrade, Stripe processes your payment and we store your email and a Stripe customer reference.
Why we collect it (APP 5)
Email: to send your certificate and, if you opt in, occasional updates. Payment data: handled by Stripe; we never see card details.
How we use it (APP 6)
Only for the purpose you gave it. We won't repurpose your certificate email for unrelated marketing without consent.
Overseas storage (APP 8)
Some providers store data outside Australia: Resend (US/EU) for email, Stripe (US) for payments, PostHog (EU) for analytics. Our database (Supabase) is hosted in Sydney, Australia.
Security (APP 11)
Data is encrypted in transit. We store no card data, government IDs, or KYC documents.
Access & deletion (APP 12/13)
Email us to access or delete your data. Deletion removes identifiable information and anonymises retained calculation records.
Who runs this
invest.fail is made by one bloke in Australia with a calculator and plenty of regrets. If something's broken, email me. If something's funny, screenshot it.
